Home Furnishings Company Showed Support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Multiple Ways
Delray Beach, FL (October 31, 2019) – Twin Star Home participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 27, 2019. The company raised over $3500 and supported the walk by bringing together 20 individuals on their team titled ‘The Pink Stars’.
Team members joined together for the walk and raised money because many have been touched by breast cancer in some way during their lives through family, friends or personally. The American Cancer Society reports that nearly a quarter of a million people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society fund breast cancer research, free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment, a live 24/7 cancer helpline, and more.
Additionally, in support of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, Twin Star Home’s Market Team participated in the ‘Pink Out’ event at the High Point Market. Spearheaded by City of Hope, the Sunday day-long event was held to show industry support and encouragement for those fighting the battle of breast cancer either personally or with someone they know and love. Continuous fundraising and awareness campaigns help remind women, and men, to do self-exams regularly and to fight for an end to the disease that too many people are faced with.
A key point of Twin Star Home’s mission is to be active in the communities they live and work in and engage with the community and staff, not just at work but also through community and industry philanthropic events.
