Twin-Star & Dimples Reach Worldwide Settlement on Electric Fireplace Patents

(Delray Beach, FL - Augest 12, 2005) - Twin Star International, Inc., an industry leader in the manufacture and distribution of electric fireplaces, announces that it has reached a world-wide settlement of its legal dispute with Dimplex North America regarding electric fireplace patents.

In 2004, Dimplex of Ontario, Canada, field suit againt Twin-Star of Delray Beach, Florida, in both Canada and Illinois, alleging infrigement to two of its patents. Twin-Sar asserted counterclaims in both suits.

In an effort to miniminze the time and expense associated with litigation. Twin-Star of Delray Beach modified its award-winning electric fireplace and stove products. The adjustment allowed Twin-Star to garner a settlement agreement with Dimplex regarding alleged patent infrigement.

"With the litigation behind us, Twin-Star looks forward to expanding distribution of our current electric fireplace lines and introducting new porduct lines." adds Horvitz.

Twin-Star also holds patents on its electric fireplaces products and will continue to vigorously enforce them.
